The Mari Management Consultancies (TMMC) operates across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and Europe with its headquarters in Dubai. The company provides expert consultancy services as well as developing and managing projects that aim to reduce the impact from global migration, there are currently over 258 million migrants around the world living outside their country of birth and the figure continues to grow. The highest percentage of these migrants are in the MENA region and most recently in Eastern Europe because of sustained conflict, political unrest, lack of economic and civic opportunities and environmental change. We seek a holistic approach to tackle this global issue with a specific geographical focus on the MENA and Eastern Europe. Our work with migrants, host communities and communities of origin is focussed on development, building resilience, developing social infrastructures and the successful integration into new or original communities in a sustainable manner.
TMMC works to support the local civil society through communication and partnerships with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and local interest/support groups. These local organizations and groups are qualified to implement projects at the local level across the MENA and European regions. Through our partnerships we aim to:
• Mitigate the adverse drivers and structural factors that hinder people from building and maintaining sustainable livelihoods in their countries of origin.
• Reduce the risks and vulnerabilities migrants face by respecting, protecting, and fulfilling their human rights.
• Create conducive conditions that enable all migrants to enrich our societies through their human, economic and social capacities.
TMMC relies on strengthening our local partners ability to communicate effectively with the audiences and beneficiaries whilst supporting them with the tools and knowledge to achieve this. A key element of our work is providing training in areas of high migration. We focus on raising the competencies of our local partners to ensure all training is sustainable. Our tailored approach to training considers the specific needs of the migrants and the receiving locations. This training and knowledge enables migrants to become active residents in their new communities; reducing the cycle of distrust and dependency.
